Atrenta
selection procedure consists of 2 stages -:
1.
Written Test-:
Written test consists of 3 sections and is of 90 minutes duration, the sections
are- H/W section, S/W section and last is puzzle cum aptitude section. Each section has 10
questions.
Generally Atrenta work is related to the Electronics or Embedded domain that’s why they
have H/W section also but if a CS stream guy doesn’t attempt any question from this section,
even then also they would considered him as good aspirant. Generally this section has
questions from digital Electronics.
The S/W section has questions related to the concepts of DS, Algo, OS etc and questions
from C are mostly from the pointers area, memory allocation, bit-fiddling, structs, arrays
and strings. Some problems are of ‘find-the-output’ types and in some case any situation is
given and you have to solve the problem using the concepts of DS and optimization in mind.
In the Puzzles section you would get some mind twisting problems and really these puzzles
make you think a lot. Try to cool your mind and think logically and have prior practice of
solving the puzzles.
2.
Interview-:
Atrenta interview is generally of 2-3 rounds and the generally interview is pure
technical in nature. Interviewer is going to test your knowledge of the basic concepts of CS
stream subjects along with ECE stream subjects but in both of these streams, emphasis is on C,
DS concepts and the ability of the student to handle the questions and his/her approach of
solving the problem. They will ask questions from pointers, memory allocation, some
questions of OS concepts like semaphores, deadlock etc.
Also the projects you have mentioned in the resume are asked. So, write only those projects
that you actually have done and revise your projects thoroughly.
For cracking the Atrenta System paper you should be very good in your basic concepts of the
Computer Science subject and Electronics subject and also should have done programming of C
concepts, DS, Algo etc.
